About Ontoom

Ontoom is a free toolkit for people who build, test, or study software. This page explains what the project does, who it is for, what it does not do, and how to reach the people who run the site.

What Ontoom is

Ontoom (ontoom.com.br) is a set of generators, validators, and utilities for concrete development tasks: build a CPF with check digits, validate a numeric CNPJ, create a QR code, inspect a JWT, convert a file to Base64, or look up an HTTP status.

Each tool has its own page, with the control to generate or validate and copy that explains the format, the limit of the result, and, when the algorithm matters, how the math works. The CPF page, for example, describes the mask, modulo 11, and the difference between a mathematically valid number and a record at Brazil’s tax authority.

There is no required account and no paid plan for basic use. Open the tool, generate or check the value, and copy the result.

Who it is for

Developers use Ontoom for seeds, mocks, and sample payloads. A masked CPF exercises a front-end input; a UUID avoids collisions in tests; a sample JWT shows header and payload before you connect a real identity provider.

QA builds staging scenarios: a numeric CNPJ, a digitable line in boleto format, an IBAN with a valid checksum, a QR code pointing at a staging URL. The value exists so the application can react, not so it can impersonate a person.

Students and anyone learning to program get the calculation next to the result. You can see why a repeated-digit sequence is not a valid CPF, why Base64 is not encryption, and what each HTTP status range means.

What Ontoom is not

Ontoom is not a government service, does not look up CPF or CNPJ in an official database, and does not issue documents. Generated numbers are synthetic: they can pass a check-digit test and still not exist as a person or company record.

Do not use the output for fraud, account opening, invoices, contracts, sign-up at a bank or carrier, or to impersonate someone else. That use is forbidden by the Terms of Use and may be a crime. Test data stays in a test environment.

If you need a real document, stop. The right channel is the official agency, not a test generator.

How the tools work

Generation and validation run in your browser. The CPF, QR text, JWT, and file you convert to Base64 are not uploaded to Ontoom just because you used the tool. Favorites, some generator history, theme, and dynamic QR campaigns stay in your browser’s local storage.

What leaves the device is a normal page visit and, only if you write one, a Contact message. The Privacy Policy covers analytics, ads, and the form processor.

Editorial content

Besides the catalog, the blog publishes guides on the same topics: CPF check digits, when a dynamic QR code helps, what to look at in a JWT. Tool pages repeat the essentials for people who land from search, so the article is not the only explanation.

The homepage groups tools into documents, codes, international, security, productivity, and math. Search and favorites bring back what you already use.

Advertising

The site may show Google AdSense ads so the tools can stay free. An ad does not change the result and does not receive what you generate in the browser. Advertising cookies, when present, follow the privacy policy, including the option to turn off personalized ads in Google’s settings.

Who operates the site

The site is operated by the Ontoom team. The public channel is ontoomtools@gmail.com and the Contact form. We do not publish a phone number.

Use that channel for bugs, suggestions, and privacy requests. Do not send passwords, production tokens, a real customer document, or someone else’s personal data. Name the page, what you expected, and what happened.

Updates

We revise this text when the tool set or the way we handle data changes. The date at the top is the current version. Use of the site remains subject to the Terms of Use. If a translation conflicts with the Portuguese text, Portuguese prevails.
